Ria Shopping in Olhão has been nominated for an award in the category of Best Commercial Building for its innovative design.
The nomination in the Prémios Construir 2010 awards, run by construction publication Jornal Construir, is the second this year for the shopping centre, which was also put forward for the Iberian award for professionalism and innovation, Trofeo Golden Gypsum, at the start of 2010.
Also up for the award of Best Commercial Building is the Dolce Vita Tejo shopping centre and the Espaço Guimarães.
A spokesman for the centre said: “This not only recognises the unique architecture of Ria Shopping but is also a sign of its success during the first year of operation.”
