I DON’T KNOW and I don’t care if Sr. Vieira is right, or if Sr. Jorge Nuno is, or even Carolina, the writer.
What I do know is that football is a party! What I understand all around the world is that regarding the sport of kings, we are much applauded. What I know for sure is that outside of Europe not only do we gain business opportunities, but we also benefit from the prestige of our football.
I still remember when a 70 year old Notary from an Eastern country showered me with attention when he discovered I was Portuguese. “Coluna?” he said, “Eusébio!” I said. “Torres?” he said!
What I also know is that we are sick of seeing these administration wars, influences and interests, leaving us with the sad feeling that what we see on the pitch is only a part of the final result!
I am left feeling uneasy seeing these men who live off of Soccer and for Soccer, caught up in the killing of the hen with the golden egg!
You know what I would like to applaud? A decision by whoever is in charge, to shut up the outrageous language of the owners of the ball!
And other attitudes much more serious that take the shine off of even our own Ronaldo’s success!
