Sotheby’s International Realty Portugal will be opening their first office in the Algarve at the end of May.
The new office is set to be located in the current offices of Atlantic Estates in Vilamoura, which is now being rebranded in preparation for the changes.
Tiago Queiroga, the director of Sotheby’s International Realty Portugal, said: “The conversion of Atlantic Estates consolidates the position of the world’s largest network of luxury real estate to act in our country and boost our performance in the Algarve, a strategic market for our expansion plan.”
He added: “This is an area with mainly second homes for holidays and it attracts a good percentage of international buyers.”
Atlantic Estates plan to open another office, working with Sotheby’s International Realty but will be concentrating on changing the focus of their core activity towards international realty while in this transitional stage.
An investment of 500,000 euros has been made by Sotheby’s International Realty in the Algarve region and the office will offer real estate consultancy services in the central Algarve from Albufeira to Faro, including the resorts in the Golden Triangle.
