The St. Patrick’s Society of the Algarve hosted a New Year lunch at Big Reds restaurant in Alvor on Saturday, January 17.
The event was attended by 63 members who enjoyed an afternoon of great food and entertainment.
The society was set up over 20 years ago to celebrate Ireland’s national saint’s day on March 17 and to organise various social events throughout the year.
The next Society outings will be a walk and lunch on Saturday, January 31 in Aljezur, and a putting competition and lunch on Friday, February 20, in Balaia Golf Village in Albufeira.
The flagship event each year is the annual dinner dance which will be held in the Penina Hotel, Portimão, on March 13.
