FOR THE fifth consecutive year, Portimão will be hosting six internationally renowned musical dance shows until September as part of the Câmara’s summer programme.
The first of these, Coppelia performed by the Moldova National Opera Ballet, is due to take place tonight (Friday) at Portimão’s municipal auditorium.
On July 5, the Carmen Flamenca show will be performed by the Ballet Flamenco Maria Carrasco from Madrid, at the Pavilhão do Arade.
Cuba the Musical, performed by the Cuban Musical Theatre is due to take place on July 25 at Portimão’s municipal auditorium, followed by a performance from the Russian ballet group Assya Kya on August 2 at the same venue.
Greek dancers
Bulgaria’s national art and dance company are due to perform a show entitled Are you Ready? at the municipal auditorium on August 22.
A group of Greek dancers will be finishing the series of shows on September 19 with the Fire of Anatólia – the Sultons of Dance performance at the Portimão Arena.
All of the shows will start at 10pm, with tickets costing 12.50 euros per adult, and 15 euros for Carmen Flamenca. Tickets can be purchased at the venues.
