Tax revenue

Tax revenue between January and September totalled more than €1.8 billion – that is 7.5% more money entering the state’s coffers compared to the same period in 2012. Personal income tax (IRS) and value-added tax (VAT) contributed the most to this rise, but the government’s fight against tax fraud and evasion are other factors that ensured a healthier tax revenue for the state.
