Portugal’s national train operator, CP – Comboios de Portugal, is cutting back on its services because of a workers’ strike that was due to start yesterday (Thursday) and run until February 17.
The strike, organised by several workers’ unions, will affect train services all over the country.
According to a CP statement, from February 10 to 16, it is expected that the services will be severely disrupted throughout the day, with the suspension of most of train times. On February 15, it is expected that the train services will be affected mainly in the morning.
The strikes are in protest against wage cuts imposed by the government.
