The ALGARVE Orchestra’s greatly anticipated concert on the golf course in Vale do Lobo is due to take place tomorrow (Saturday) night at 7.30pm.
Offering picturesque views from the 18th hole of the Ocean Golf Course, the concert will commence with cocktails in the lead up to the approximately hour-long concert. The concert will feature extracts from Brahms’ Serenade and Hungarian Dances.
Algarve Orchestra was formed in 2002 and has won national acclaim for putting on a great concert. The orchestra has travelled the length of Portugal but has also toured in Italy, Spain, Belgium and Austria.
The 31 members of the Algarve Orchestra will be directed on this unique occasion by famous German conductor Hans-Rainer Förster. He has been the instrumental conductor at the Opera of Leipzig and Weimar, the Principal Conductor at the Vogtlandphilharmonie Greiz-Reichenbach. His presence will add to the illustrious list of national and international conductors who have led the Algarve Orchestra in the past including Joji Hattori, Wolfgang Czeipek, Thomas Kalb, Joel Levine, Nino Lepore and many more.
Tickets are priced at 30 euros per person and 15 euros for children under the age of 16. Tickets for Proprietors’ Club Members and resort guests as well as guests staying at Ria Park, Quinta do Lago and Dona Filipa hotels are priced at 25 euros.
