A NEW resort in the hills of Monchique for people over the age of 45 is due to break ground in October.
Longevity is the company behind Monchique Condo Resort, which will have 195 apartments and seven villas. Amenities and services include outdoor and indoor pools, spa, gym, wellness specialist, nutritional programmes, golf packages, cinema room, internet café and laundry and room services.
The resort will be health and wellness driven, and will boast 20,000sqm of landscaped gardens and walking trails for guests. Construction is due to begin in October, with an expected completion date of 2009.
