THE US and EU have said that they will not lift the existing sanctions on Zimbabwe after the historic power-sharing agreement signed by President Robert Mugade and his long term opponent Morgan Tsvangirai , until reforms are made.
According to EU foreign policy chief, Javier Solana, the decision on lifting the sanctions has been postponed until October.
The 27 EU ministers said they would watch for the agreement’s implementation, especially the “immediate cessation of all forms of intimidation and violence”.
