A major GNR police operation in Loulé resulted in 21 arrests and 31 offenses on Friday, August 15.
According to a statement by the military police force, the crackdown targeted many areas of the municipality of Loulé, specifically nightlife hotspots, with those arrested facing charges ranging from drunk driving and illegal private security work to drug trafficking.
In addition to the arrests, the police issued 31 fines. Some were for problems in nightclubs, some for drug use, and most were for traffic violations. During the operation, the police also seized 68 doses of cocaine, 31 doses of hashish, 62.7 liters of nitrous oxide, nearly 2,000 euros in cash, and 190 British pounds.
The cases have been forwarded to the Judicial Court of Loulé.
