“Leftist group” chat revealed by KAN News suggests using strychnine on Israeli party goers
A WhatsApp group for left-wing activists in Portugal plotted to poison Israelis at the upcoming Boom Festival in Idanha-a-Nova, a Jewish woman is reported to have told Israel’s KAN News.
The group also intended to defecate on Israelis’ tents, urinate in their food and generally make them feel unwelcome and uncomfortable.
According to the whistleblower (unidentified, but given the fictitious name of Sarah), she approached festival organisers with her information, but “nothing has been done about it”.
She has thus tried to warn the 4000 Israelis she knows plan to attend the annual festival starting on July 17 “to be careful, and know there is a plan to hurt them”.
Sarah told KAN that she also took her concerns to police who she says “did not take her seriously.”
“After what we saw in Washington and Boulder and France, it’s imperative that this is taken seriously”, she adds – claiming that she used to live in Portugal but has since moved away “due to institutionalised antisemitism”.
Boom is an annual dance party event that has had its share of ‘tragedies’ in the past, but continues to be a ‘must’ on many young people’s summer party calendars.
Picking up on the news, noticiasaominuto says it has asked PJ police whether they are aware of these allegations. ND
