British variant responsible for 95% of cases in Algarve

With transmission in the Algarve over the ‘red line’ of 1, the latest DGS Covid analysis suggests the ‘more transmissible’ British variant is to blame. This variant is responsible for 70.6% of cases nationally – but in respect of the Algarve, it has been found in 95% of cases.
