Portimão-based association Teia D’Impulsos is kicking off its yearly tradition of spreading Christmas cheer with a new edition of its charity drive, “Impulso de Natal”.
This time, the association is throwing much-needed support behind Catraia, Portimão’s residential home for vulnerable children and young people.
The association has been running Christmas campaigns since 2021, collecting essential goods for local families facing financial hardship. This year, the mission will be to gather many types of supplies and décor to help transform Catraia’s living spaces into something warmer, brighter, and more personal for its 17 residents aged 4 to 18.
Among the most needed items are new shoes (sizes 25–41); boys’ clothing (ages 4–16); girls’ clothing (ages 5–L); shampoo, shower gel, toothpaste and toothbrushes; hairbrushes, deodorant, body lotion, bath sponges; sanitary pads; bedding (duvets, sheets); and décor items.
The public can donate until December 14, with several local partners stepping up as drop-off points:
