The Chapel in Carvoeiro – Nossa Senhora de Encarnação – will have two Catholic Masses said in English this Christmas. The Fourth Sunday of Advent, on December 21 at 4pm, and Christmas Eve, on Wednesday, December 24 at 6pm.
The celebrant will be Padre Nuno Coelho, our parish priest. Padre Nuno is enjoying serving the international community through these Masses in English. His commitment is to ensure that the Algarve has at least one mass in English at the high holidays. Padre Nuno also adapts his mass to include any French speakers present.
So, if you are looking for a meaningful celebration of your Catholic faith, in English/French, at this festive time, please join us. Everyone is most welcome even if you do not normally attend this church. We will sing traditional Christmas carols!
There will be a retiring collection for the Lagoa Food Bank. We have over 100 families in need at this time. Please give generously.
These masses will be in addition to the chapel’s usual Saturday evening masses at 5.30 pm (in Portuguese). Christmas Midnight Mass will be in Portuguese, in the Lagoa church, starting at 11pm.
