The English-language Easter Sunday Mass will take place on April 5 at 4pm, at the Chapel of Our Lady of the Incarnation – “Ermida da Nossa Senhora da Encarnação” – on the cliffs above Carvoeiro. “Come and celebrate the joy of the Risen Lord!”
The whole Mass will be in English including the readings and singing. “We welcome residents and visitors of many nationalities to share this high point of the Christian calendar,” said Carvoeiro Catholics in a press statement.
“Padre Nuno Coelho – our Good Shepherd – wishes to include and integrate all Catholics of whatever language or nationality in his flock.”
There will be a retiring collection for the Lagoa Cáritas Food Bank, which helps over 100 families in need at this time.

9am – Vale d’El Rei; 10.30am – Parchal; 12 noon – Lagoa; 4pm – Carvoeiro, Mass in English; 5.30pm – Mexilhoeira da Carregação (new church)
