Living up to its name and becoming a classic event in the regional calendar, the Algarve Classic Festival will be returning for its fifth edition between October 18 and 20 at the Algarve International Autodrome in Portimão, promising to delight vintage car lovers.
Eleven races are scheduled for this year in seven different categories: Historic Touring Car Challenge, Motor Racing Legends 1950s Sport Cars, Pre-War Sport Cars, GT & Sport Car Cup, Formula Junior, Classic Grand Prix and Historic Endurance.
Once more, the autodrome racing track will allow enigmatic models from brands such as Jaguar, Chevrolet, Ford, BMW, Bentley, Lotus, Lola, Bond, Brabham, Maserati, Austin-Healey, MG, Jaguar, Porsche, Datsun, VW and Alfa Romeo, among many others.
Historic Formula One models that are the pride of the golden decades of the 1970s and 1980’ such as the Tyrrell 002, Williams FW06, Lotus 77, March F1 and 721/9, Trojan T103, Hesketh 308, McLaren MP4/1B will also be returning to the festival.
Other activities are planned besides the races in order to ensure entertainment for the whole family at this year’s event.
Tickets cost €10 and can be purchased at the autodrome store or online.
The races begin at 10.30am on October 18, at 8.25am on October 19 and at 9pm on October 20.
