This year, we proudly mark the 50th Anniversary of the founding of Blevins Franks, the leading tax and wealth management advisers to UK nationals living in Europe. We express our heartfelt gratitude to our clients for their confidence and loyalty, which has been the bedrock of our growth.
The firm was co-founded by David Franks in 1975 as a chartered accountancy practice, soon to be joined by Bill Blevins to develop the financial advice business in the UK and Europe. Since their retirement in 2012, the business continues to go from strength to strength and remains independent. Although we have grown significantly over the years by extending our network and services, our focus on clients remains unchanged.
The journey from the world of 1975 to 2025 has been one of enormous and constant change. Personal finance has changed out of all recognition. Across the UK and EU, literally millions of pages of new legislation and regulation have been published, and the world of investment has expanded out of all proportion too. This comes with an equally constant need to adapt, adjust, recalibrate with change, and quickly figure out how best to deal with the new reality.
That is where Blevins Franks comes in. We have provided a source of constant advice in a world of constant change, growing and developing our business as our client base and their needs have grown. Besides the UK, we operate 20 offices across southern Europe, including establishing our Algarve office 30 years ago and later one in Lisbon. Our specialist services cover cross-border tax and estate planning, trusts, investment and pensions.
As we move into our second 50 years, we remain determined to take advantage of the exciting developments in front of us, and continue to provide clients with the highest quality financial planning advice and service.
