One of the Algarve’s most anticipated technology conferences is returning to Faro this month, bringing together 150+ attendees and 10 speakers for a full day of pioneering talks, hands-on workshops, a brand-new Community Lounge and networking, with lunch and coffee included.
GeekSessions, the non-profit community that has been part of the Algarve’s growing tech scene, is back with the next edition of its annual conference. GeekSessionsConf2026 takes place on March 21 at the IPDJ (Instituto Português do Desporto e Juventude) venue in Faro, and tickets are now available.
Ten speakers, selected through an open call, will take the stage to share real stories and practical knowledge across topics such as Robotics, Hardware and Makers, Civic and Environmental Impact, Travel and Tourism Tech, Opensource, Health Tech and Cybersecurity.
Beyond the talks, attendees can expect hands-on workshops, networking breaks throughout the day and an afterparty from 5pm onwards. Lunch and coffee are included in the ticket price, which is kept symbolic to cover meals and reduce no-shows.
Introducing the Community Map
New for 2026, GeekSessions is launching the Community Map, an exhibition space at IPDJ dedicated to the communities, people and projects shaping the Algarvian tech ecosystem.
The lounge opens on March 13and runs for three weeks, featuring a map of local communities, a curated selection of projects spanning tech, art, games and social impact.
