Moving to Portugal Show in Dublin attracted highest number of registrations since the event launched in 2019
Ireland’s premier event on moving to Portugal – the Moving to Portugal Show and Seminars – has highlighted the strength and diversity of Irish appetite for life in Portugal. The most recent show, which took place in Dublin on May 22, attracted the highest number of registrations since the event launched, back in 2019. Notably, attendees covered a broad spectrum of reasons for moving, ranging from lifestyle benefits to Portugal’s fiscal advantages.
Christina Hippisley, General Manager of the Portuguese Chamber of Commerce, said: “Families, retirees, entrepreneurs and more attended the Moving to Portugal Show to find out about relocating to Portugal. The diversity of attendees speaks to Portugal’s wide-ranging appeal. With excellent connections to Ireland, a welcoming tax regime, a strong international education offer and myriad lifestyle benefits, it has something to offer a broad range of movers.”

Organised by the Portuguese Chamber of Commerce and opened by Portuguese Ambassador to Ireland Bernardo Lucena, the Moving to Portugal Show featured a range of relocation, property and investment-focused seminar presentations and expert panel discussions.
The seminar programme was designed to appeal to entrepreneurs, covering fiscal topics such as capital gains and inheritance tax. This complemented the event’s strong property offering, with resorts including Quinta do Lago and Vilamoura highlighting the benefits of living, investing or retiring in Portugal.
Featuring a packed day of seminars and private meetings, the show featured presenters and exhibitors including developers, real estate agent Fine & Country and financial service providers. The developers – including VIC Properties, Libertas, Quinta do Lago, Life Plan by Terra Bella, Bondstone and Pestana Algarve – covered all areas of Portugal, with extensive property options and price points. On the financial and services side, Sovereign, SwissQuote, Mazars and EDGE were all present to share their expertise with attendees.
The show also featured panel discussions from those who have already moved from Ireland to Portugal and settled there successfully. From family life to running a business in Portugal, panel members shared their experiences for the benefit of those currently considering making the move.

“We are delighted at the success of the Moving to Portugal Show in Dublin and look forward to returning next year with another event designed to deliver impactful, relevant and up-to-the-minute advice for anyone wanting to move to Portugal. Whether individuals are just starting to explore the idea of moving or already at an advanced stage of planning, the Moving to Portugal Show provides a crucial one-stop-shop for the expertise and networking required for a seamless move,” concluded Christina Hippisley.
The next Moving to Portugal Show will take place in London on October 16, 2025, with additional UK events currently being finalised.
