The 47-year-old man suspected of killing a 61-year-old British man in Lagos last weekend has been remanded in custody after being heard in court, PJ police have announced.
The tragic incident took place on the Algarve town’s busy bar street, Rua 25 de Abril, outside a popular nightlife spot in the early hours of Saturday morning (May 31).
According to the judicial police force, the victim had been bothering other clients inside the venue and was approached by his alleged attacker before the incident spilled out onto the street.
The suspect was taken into custody later that day, with investigators pointing to “strong indications” that he was responsible for the fatal assault.
