Social media went ablaze last weekend after photos of basketball legend Michael Jordan enjoying the Portuguese sunshine in Porto surfaced online.
Considered by many to be the greatest basketball player that ever lived, the 62-year-old former Chicago Bulls star was photographed enjoying a sunny moment on a terrace in the northern city.
Jordan’s arrival didn’t go unnoticed, as his private jet, bearing the iconic Air Jordan logo, was spotted at Francisco Sá Carneiro Airport, drawing plenty of attention even before he stepped into the city.
While his stop in Porto made waves, SIC Notícias reports it wasn’t his only destination, adding that the six-time NBA champion also spent time in Lisbon before flying south to Faro on Sunday.
Jordan’s visit to Portugal comes as he prepares for a new role off the court as a special contributor for NBC Sports, ahead of the broadcaster’s renewed coverage of the NBA beginning with the 2025–2026 season.
