“Brazil is one of the most important markets for real estate investment in Portugal” – Bruce Hawker, Open Media CEO
Open Media is heading to Brazil next week for the first in a series of property and investment roadshows, following the success of the “Living in Portugal” events already held over the last three years in the USA, Canada and South Africa.
So far this year, events have already been held in the USA in March with a USA & Canada roadshow scheduled for June taking in Toronto, New York and Chicago.

In the meantime, the Portuguese-language Brazil events, entitled “Portugal Imobiliário e Investimento”, will take in three key Brazilian cities; São Paulo, Florianópolis and Rio de Janeiro.
The events bring together 10 companies promoting a mixture of property and investment opportunities in Portugal along with relocation services.
“Brazil is one of the most important markets for real estate investment in Portugal,” said Open Media CEO Bruce Hawker. “Some of our key partners in the roadshow events we have held in other countries asked us to consider Brazil and our research has proved them to be right. Although the country is still only a small market in the Algarve, it is one of the most important international markets, alongside the USA, for areas such as Lisbon, Cascais and Porto.”
The events are to be held at the top hotels in each city, starting with the luxurious Rosewood Hotel in São Paulo on Thursday, May 22, followed by the LK Design Hotel in Florianópolis on Saturday, May 24, and the iconic Copacabana Palace Hotel in Rio de Janeiro on Tuesday, May 27. The companies taking part in the events are:
- Bison Bank
- Optylon Krea / Ando Living
- Fine & Country
- Martinhal Group
- Active Cap
- NSM Advogados
- Global International Relocation
- Royal Óbidos Resort
- Banco Caixa Geral Brasil
- LCM International Realty
