A paraglider had to make an emergency landing on the deck of a cruise ship docked at Portimão port last week.
The Brazilian pilot, 25, had experienced problems with the equipment and was forced to land on the Holland American Line ship Prinsendam.
According to reports in the Portuguese press, the man was taken to hospital after suffering a broken leg while crash-landing.
The Maritime Police were called to the scene and removed the equipment, which is being used to investigate the incident.
