Portimão has been chosen again to host the debut of the World Press Photo exhibition in Portugal on Sunday, July 20, at 6pm at the riverside Lota building.
Considered the “biggest and most prestigious photojournalism exhibition in the world,” the display can be visited for free from 6pm to midnight until August 10. It features some of the “best photos taken in 2024,” featuring some of the most “impactful events of the year.”
The exhibition will include 42 winning photographs of the contest organised annually by the World Press Photo Foundation, selected out of a pool of over 59,000 photographs submitted by 3,778 photographers from 141 countries.
