The Algarve’s latest beer festival has been unveiled and will take place in Portimão on Friday, August 16 and Saturday, August 17.
Entitled ‘August Beer Fest’, the event will take place on the town’s Rua Senhora da Tocha where traffic is being cut off especially for the festival.
On both days, starting at 6pm, there will be cold beer, live music and delicious food to enjoy.
The food and drinks will be provided by Casa da Tocha and Restaurante Tipóia, two of Portimão’s best-known establishments, while the beer will be provided by Erdinger, the official sponsor of the event. Algarve wine producers Paxá and Malaca are also due to take part.
The snacks that will be served will be inspired by the “traditions” of beer festival but with a “Portuguese touch”.
Southkick Band, Us 2 and Rancho Folclórico da Figueira are the musical line-up for the event. There will also be a handicraft fair.
