The Algarve’s Vilamoura Marina has added another feather to its cap, winning the prestigious Superyacht Marina of the Year award from The Yacht Harbour Association (TYHA). The accolade recognises marinas worldwide that excel in quality, sustainability, and service.
To earn the award, Vilamoura Marina was evaluated on a wide range of criteria, from customer service and state-of-the-art facilities for large yacht to fuelling points, security, maintenance areas, social spaces, and parking. Environmental responsibility was also key, including energy efficiency, renewable energy use, waste management, marine conservation, sustainability initiatives, and engagement with the local community.

Vilamoura Marina has been a regular on international podiums, frequently named Best International Marina among 5-Golden-Anchor marinas since 2015, and now adds the 2025 Superyacht recognition to its growing list of honours.
The award was presented at the Southampton International Boat Show in the UK. As part of the Gold Anchor program, the marina holds the highest distinction – 5 Golden Anchor Platinum – joining an elite group of just 11 marinas worldwide.
