Just in time for Christmas, SOS Algarve Animals has announced options for those who would like to help abandoned animals but who cannot give one of them a home.
The animal charity introduced the virtual adoption concept with sponsorship opportunities for ‘special dogs’.
A spokesman for SOS Algarve Animals said: “Virtual adoptions are wonderful for older animals and therefore their chances of ever being adopted into a home situation are next to nothing.”
Donations will go towards providing the sponsored dog better quality food, a comfortable bed and vet care.
