Web Summit generated more than €100 million in revenue in November last year, while bringing in an estimated €300 million for Lisbon in terms of hotel bookings and for restaurants, bars, shops, tourist attractions and transport receipts.
“2025 was a historic year and we hope that 2026 will be even better,” said Paddy Cosgrave, CEO of Web Summit, adding that the organisation will beef up its team by 20% with over 60 workers – 20 at its Lisbon office.
“The summit closed 2025 with revenues of over €100 million,” announced Paddy Cosgrave on LinkedIn calling 2025 as a “record”.
The result was an increase on the €79 million obtained in 2024. Web Summit also has similar summits in Brazil, Qatar and Canada.
And Lisbon City Council allocated €7.24 million for the 2025 edition of Web Summit.
