A Poem for All Souls Day – November 2

Surreptitiously, the gentle rain of tears that falls
Upon my soul eases a sentient pain
Which has no earthly gain
And clears the clot that was my brain
Until the day before my yesteryear.

Artful Intelligence with its gentle persuasion
And mimicry
Opens for me an equation of
Faithful hope and chastity of spirit
To solve that infinite mystery of trinity.

For all saints – and sinners too – who are now at rest
Today we expect the very best of heaven to be sent with
Joy to toy our sensitivity and release those tears
That fall as rain upon our souls.
