Castelo de Sonhos, a registered charity based in Silves, is again organising its Annual Shoebox Campaign for the Elderly, now in its 21st year.
The charity supports more than 200 elderly people in need living in the Silves area.
Here is what you can do to support this cause:
Find a shoebox and fill it with a variety of gifts. The charity suggests the following items: warm socks, toiletries (toothbrush, toothpaste, soap, shampoo, hand cream), festive cakes, biscuits, chocolates, packets of soup, canned goods (sardine paté), jam/preserves, a small torch, a notepad and pen. Please check edibles are within a reasonable expiry date and please take note, no medication or alcohol!
Kindly wrap your gift box and label for man/woman or couple. You are not restricted to just one shoebox. More boxes, more smiles!
The boxes will be delivered by the Castelo de Sonhos team.
