Christmas is arriving early at Mar Shopping Algarve, where the much-loved Christmas Village will bring a wave of festive joy to the Loulé shopping centre from November 15 to January 6.
The Christmas Village will feature a Santa’s Sweet House, a ball pit with slide, a 360º video booth, and even a mini Ferris wheel that runs with symbolic donations for a local charity. The programme also features a play, “Delicious Christmas with Santa,” every day at 3pm, as well as a treasure hunt on weekends at 5pm, a Lucky Box surprise on weekdays, and creative workshops with multiple themes.
One of the highlights promises to be Santa’s arrival, scheduled for Saturday, November 15 at 11am. Visitors can also meet Santa on weekends and holidays, capture the moment with the Photoflyer booth, and enjoy a magical snowfall at the main entrance of the shopping centre.
Meanwhile, next to the Arcádia café, a Solidarity Christmas Tree decorated by IKEA invites donations of wooden toys, which will go to the Donated Goods Bank. There’s also a charity gift-wrapping station open from December 9 to 22 on Floor 0.
“We want every visit to Mar Shopping Algarve to be an experience that brings families together and sparks the spirit of sharing,” said Ana Antunes, the centre’s director. “This Christmas was designed to celebrate creativity, joy and solidarity – the values that define us as a space for connection and inspiration.”
The Christmas Village will be open Monday to Thursday between 11am and 8pm, Friday, Saturday, Sunday and holidays from 10.30am to 10pm, and on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve (December 24 and 31) from 10am to 6pm.
