Lagoa’s much-loved Christmas Concert returns on Sunday, December 14, celebrating its 25th edition with a special performance by the acclaimed trio Dell’Acqua at Parchal church.
Soprano Carla Pontes, flautist Grace Borgan, and pianist Cristiana Silva will present a festive programme spanning centuries and traditions. The Ideias do Levante Choir, directed by Maria Saramago, will also join the trio for two seasonal pieces.
The one-hour concert will feature seasonal classics including Charles Gounod’s Ave Maria, Adolphe Adam’s O Holy Night, the Ukrainian traditional Carol of the Bells and Pietro Yon’s Gesù Bambino. The program draws on Catalan, Spanish, English and French traditions, promising a musical journey from the 16th century to today.
The performance begins at 5pm and admission is free, though Ideias do Levante members can book a spot in advance.
