Olhão is gearing up for a lively New Year celebration at Jardim Pescador Olhanense, where a revamped venue and upgraded production promise a smoother, more comfortable night for thousands of revellers.
This year’s festivities kick off at 10.30pm with a performance by Diogo Piçarra, one of Portugal’s most popular contemporary artists, who will take the stage to lead the crowd into the final moments of 2025.
As the clock strikes midnight, fireworks over the Ria Formosa will welcome 2026, offering a “shared moment of celebration for locals and visitors” gathered along the waterfront. The party continues from 12.15am with DJ Deelight, who is set to keep the atmosphere buzzing well into the early hours.
Entry is free, and the municipal council is inviting everyone to join the celebration and welcome 2026 in a “relaxed, festive setting by the town’s riverside.”
