Scared of Shakespeare? Puzzled by poetry? Then join David Roberts in his unravelling of the mysteries embedded in English Literature.
David runs a Literature Exploration group and the 2018 programme is already taking shape, starting on Thursday, April 5, in the Village Hall at Monte da Palhagueira, Gorjões, from 5pm to 7pm.
The group will be starting with Shakespeare’s The Tempest for five weeks and then The Shadow Line by Joseph Conrad for a further five weeks.
David Roberts has 25 years’ experience lecturing to university students in Liverpool.
He encourages active discussion among participants and throughout he explores possibilities that you may not have considered – adding a level of intrigue into each work of literature.
Cost for each five-week block is €40. Organisers say entry qualifications are “an open mind and a sense of humour”.
