Faro council will be donating €60,000 to its local fire station following the signing of a cooperation protocol with the town’s humanitarian association of firefighters.
The goal, it says, is to help them with their day-to-day missions.
Mayor Rogério Bacalhau described the decision as a “supplementary effort by the borough to support its firefighters” prompted by a desire to make the local fire brigade “stronger and more modern and functional”.
