Grooves and moves at Morgado do Quintão

This Saturday, October 11, the Silves winery’s Open House - Harvest Party features a live jazz concert followed by a groovy DJ set.

Music has always been part of Morgado do Quintão’s end-of-harvest celebrations. Over the years, its Open House party has welcomed remarkable musicians — “artists who play on global stages, yet bring their soul to the vineyard”.

This year, the creative minds behind the Open House – Harvest Party have devised a different format: smaller andmore intimate. It will be “just one night, one stage, one vineyard — a gathering of friends under the Algarve sky”, says the organisation.

On October 11, at 21h30, the Silves winery welcomes the Ricardo Toscano Trio — Ricardo on saxophone, Demian Cabaud on double bass, and João Pereira on drums. One of the most inspiring projects in Portuguese jazz today, their music dares, lingers, and lifts.

Following the concert, DJ João Gomes takes to the stage for the after party. A pioneer of Portuguese grooves — from Cool Hipnoise and Orelha Negra to today’s Luso-African rhythms — João will deliver a set shaped by decades of playing music that makes us dance.

Of course, there will be plenty of wine to keep the evening flowing, with a selection of Morgado do Quintão’s famous vintages sold by the glass and the bottle at the bar.

Tickets available here.
