After selling out Lisbon’s MEO Arena in just six hours, Iron Maiden are set to return to Portugal for the biggest concert of their career in the country.
The concert will take place on July 7, 2026 at Lisbon’s Estádio da Luz, SL Benfica’s home stadium, and be part of the band’s ongoing ‘Run for Your Lives Tour 2025/2026’.
Just months after packing 20,000 fans into the MEO Arena, the British heavy metal icons – led by Steve Harris and Bruce Dickinson – are promising an even more spectacular show, with a bigger stage, jaw-dropping visuals, immersive sets and the return of Eddie, the band’s legendary mascot, in brand-new forms.
Frontman and founder Steve Harris said the band couldn’t resist adding more European dates to the tour.
“We’re loving this Run For Your Lives Tour. The fans have been incredible, the setlist is perfect for our 50th anniversary, and the show is probably our best ever. Ticket demand has been extraordinary, with sold-out shows and over a million fans already attending. So we thought we’d do a few more shows in Europe before heading elsewhere. Simon Dawson will, of course, be back on drums, and we’d like to thank the fans for the fantastic welcome they gave him in the first leg of the tour.”
The bassist also praised Portuguese fans for embracing the band’s request to keep mobile phones pocketed during concerts. “It made a colossal difference to the atmosphere,” he said, adding: “This is probably the best tour we’ve ever done.”
Tickets for the concert are already for sale, with prices ranging from €70 to €90.
