Kanye West is set to return to Portugal after 15 years for a one-off concert at the Estádio do Algarve (Algarve Stadium) on August 7.
Also known as “Ye”, the American rapper last performed in Portugal in 2011 at the Sudoeste Festival, following his debut in the country in 2006 with a concert in Oeiras.
Tickets will go on sale to the general public on March 26 via the BOL website. Pre-sales begin on March 24 for fans who sign up for a waiting list, which opened at 9am today.
Ticket prices have not yet been announced.
The Portugal date is part of a wider European tour starting in May, with stops planned in countries including Turkey, Italy, the Netherlands, Spain and France.
Kanye West has become a highly divisive figure in recent years, with several controversies that came to a boiling point after the rapper made a series of antisemitic comments and remarks seen as praising Nazism, which led to the cancellation of several projects.

Ahead of his scheduled concert in Marseille, France, mayor Benoît Payan has publicly opposed the show, writing on social media: “I refuse to allow Marseille to be a stage for those who promote hatred and Nazism. Kanye West is not welcome.”
Earlier this year, the rapper issued a public apology, saying he regretted his actions and that they had “destroyed” his life.
In a text published in The Wall Street Journal, he wrote that the bipolar disorder he was diagnosed with caused him to “lose touch with reality.”
“Things got worse the longer I ignored the problem. I said and did things I deeply regret. Some of the people I love the most, I treated the worst. You endured fear, confusion, humiliation, and the exhaustion of trying to love someone who was, at times, unrecognizable. Looking back, I became detached from my true self,” he said.
Despite his recent hardships, Kanye West has been listed among the greatest rappers of all time and is one of the best-selling artists, with over 160 million albums sold. He has also won 24 Grammy awards.
