LISBON COUNCIL is planning to limit the number of cars entering the city, by reducing parking places.
The project aims to focus the capital’s development from the area surrounding the Estação do Oriente along the Tejo riverside, on the northern side that was revamped after the Expo’98.
The plan is considering enlarging residential areas in the old industrial plots connecting the city’s downtown to the modern oriental neighbourhood.
