The Carlos do Carmo Auditorium in Lagoa will host two performances of Bublé! The Tribute this month – January 16, at 9.30pm, and January 17, at 7pm. The shows are part of the celebrations marking the 253rd anniversary of the creation of the Municipality of Lagoa.
Bublé! The Tribute was created with the aim of “faithfully recreating the distinctive sound and style of one of contemporary music’s most acclaimed performers. More than a tribute concert, the production combines musical excellence with elegant staging and an immersive audiovisual experience,” said Lagoa Council in a press statement.
The show features vocalist Tiago Rodrigues, who delivers an “authentic and passionate interpretation of Michael Bublé’s greatest hits”. He is accompanied by a nine-piece band of professional musicians, directed by Carlos Santos on piano and Josué Gomes on drums.
Audiences can expect “fresh and detailed arrangements of well-known classics such as Feeling Good, Everything and Home, in a performance that blends swing, jazz, pop and soul”.
“Designed to captivate from start to finish, the production takes audiences on a memorable musical journey that celebrates the elegance, emotion and timeless appeal of Michael Bublé’s music.”
The performances form part of a wider programme celebrating the founding of the Municipality of Lagoa and promise to be a highlight of the anniversary events.
Tickets cost €10, with discounts available for Cultural Passport holders through the Lagoa Municipal Council ticket offices. Tickets can be purchased via Bilheteira Online, CTT, Fnac, Worten, the Carlos do Carmo Auditorium and Lagoa’s Balcão Único.
