English rock star Sir Mick Jagger has been seen in a couple of Portuguese cities over the past few days. He was first spotted in Lisbon enjoying dinner at ÀCosta, one of the many trendy restaurants owned by chef Olivier da Costa (Yakuza, Seen, Guilty, etc.), where, according to the NiT website, he ate Pata Negra ham and veal croquettes.
On Sunday, Jagger and his entourage visited Nazaré, the town famous for its giant waves, where they had lunch at the popular Taberna d’Adélia restaurant, feasting on fish and seafood.
Yesterday, the 82-year-old singer was caught on the streets of Coimbra by a friendly PSP officer. A photo showing a very cheerful Jagger with officer Pedro Santos was posted on the Coimbra PSP’s social media pages. “Good morning, and have a good week! When, during a community policing operation in downtown Coimbra, you encounter Mick Jagger, a rock legend!” the post read.
This isn’t Mick Jagger’s first time in the city. In 2003, The Rolling Stones performed in Coimbra to inaugurate the Estádio Cidade de Coimbra, a historic night that also featured performances by Xutos & Pontapés and Primal Scream.
