For a second time, Minister for Territorial Cohesion Ana Abrunhosa has put her hand in the fire over the inflammatory subject of tolls for ‘ex-Scut’ roads (roads constructed never to be tolled). This time, she claims tolls will be reducing “very soon”. She made statements like this last October, so this may be the moment she was referring to. This time round she has stressed tolls (deemed illegal by the European Commission) will “never” be abolished.
