Music, dancing and celebration will take centre stage at Carvoeiro’s New Year’s Eve party, as the beach square prepares to welcome revellers into 2026.
The festivities begin at 10.30pm with DJ Maninho, who will set the mood with a high-energy set leading up to midnight.
As the clock strikes twelve, the seaside town will light up with a pyromusical fireworks display, one of the most anticipated moments of the night.
The show is a firm favourite with both residents and visitors, who flock to Carvoeiro each year to welcome the New Year by the sea.
The party continues well into the early hours. At 12.15am, DJ Zinko takes over, keeping the dance floor moving, followed by Deejay Cabrita at 1.30am, who will carry the celebrations through until around 3am.
The event is organised by the Union of Parishes of Lagoa and Carvoeiro, with support from Lagoa Municipal Council. Admission is free.
