It’s a huge makeover for the Lagoa Wine Show. For the first time, the event will be held in summertime and in the centre of town.
The wine show will take place between June 29 and July 1 on Rua Coronel Figueiredo (“red street”), in the heart of town. The Centro de Congressos do Arade in Parchal had been the venue since 2015.
According to Lagoa council, the decision to move the event to this new location is an attempt to promote businesses locally in the community and show that the centre of town can be used as a venue for all kinds of events.
As always, there will be tastings of wines from Lagoa, the Algarve and all over Portugal, as well as tapas, cheese, sausages and sweets. Fado singers will be performing on the street during the event.
Admission will be free although the purchase of a glass to taste the wines will cost €3. The event will run from 7pm to midnight.
