We denounce and repudiate the statements made by your writer Natasha Donn, a “journalist” for the “Portugal Resident” (as she signs the article in question), who, in an impartial manner – and we say impartial because that should be the basis of her ‘journalistic’ reporting, as professional ethics require – but the truth is that the article in question makes serious unfounded accusations and reproduces reports from one candidate without the journalist in question taking the time to listen to the other parties involved or even checking whether there is any basis or shred of truth!
It is therefore necessary to clarify the following:
1.
The elected representatives of the Socialist Party and the Socialist Party of Aljezur defend the democratic values of April and the freedom of expression won by honourable and brave people, including several historic socialists from our country, among many other Men and Women. We recall that the Portuguese Socialist Party began its journey in secrecy, outside this nation, and therefore we never question these values that we know so well and defend! We therefore do not accept lessons in ethics and false morality.
2.
We are faithful to our principles and do not jump from ideology to ideology or from party to party, according to personal interests.
3.
Incidentally, when the “journalist” states that the Renascer list has few politicians, she should be more accurate, since several of them joined the movement’s lists after having already joined other lists from various political parties.
4.
No one has ever been prevented from expressing their opinion on any matter relating to municipal management. Just look at the number of employees who decided to participate in this year’s municipal elections on different competing lists.
5.
This executive has never coerced employees, in any way, for expressing their opinions on social media, or elsewhere, about the actions of the municipality or the municipal executive, even though professional ethics may require some restraint.
6.
Based on the previous point, this type of action has, for certain, never been applied to any resident of Aljezur.
7.
The “journalist” is aware that at a time of strong protest and complaints about water consumption, when much was said and insinuated, this council was available to provide clarifications.
Regarding the Odeceixe ‘episode’, we once again condemn the fact that the “journalist” decided to reproduce, in their entirety, the ‘hateful’ statements made by the newly elected president, without even attempting to ascertain the truth or listening to the other parties involved. We are therefore obliged to demand the right of reply for the following reasons:
1.
The President of the Parish Council is the president of the electoral assembly and must therefore monitor the electoral process throughout the day.
2.
Each party or candidate has the right to appoint delegates to the polling stations whose function is to supervise the electoral process, and all candidates appointed such delegates.
3.
The latter were very present at the polling stations, some sitting ‘on top of the polling stations’, others acting as doormen at the entrance to the polling stations, and others leaving the polling stations to take people by the ‘hand’ to the polling station.
4.
We do not judge or condemn anyone for these acts, unlike the now elected president!
5.
These practices are well known to everyone, including the Aljezur Socialist Party, as they were put into practice when Manuel Marreiros was a ‘user’ and ‘beneficiary’ of the PS Aljezur’s resources, practices that we now repudiate and ignore.
6.
Finally, and with vehement conviction, we affirm that our candidates (ALL of them) are serious, honest and committed people, rooted in the values of APRIL, which value freedom and the expression of the will of the people through voting, and particularly our candidates for the Odeceixe Parish Council.

Denunciamos e repudiamos as declarações da vossa colaboradora Natasha Donn, “jornalista” do “Portugal Resident” (assim assina o artigo em causa) , que de forma imparcial, e dizemos imparcial porque deveria ser essa a base do seu relato “jornalístico” uma vez que a ética profissional assim o exige, mas a verdade é que o artigo aqui presente lança graves acusações infundamentadas e reproduz relatos de um candidatura sem ter se quer a jornalista em causa tido o cuidado de ouvir as outras partes envolvidas ou se quer apurado algum fundamento o réstia de verdade!
Assim impera clarificar o seguinte:
1.
Os eleitos do partido Socialista e o Partido Socialista de Aljezur, defendem os valores democráticos de Abril e a liberdade de expressão conquistada por gente honrada e brava dos quais faziam parte vários Históricos Socialistas do nosso pais entre muitos outros Homens e Mulheres. Relembramos que o Partido Socialista Português iniciou o seu percurso na clandestinidade fora desta nação e por isso nunca pomos em causa estes valores que tão bem conhecemos e defendemos! Não admitimos por isso lições de ética e falsa moral.
2.
Somos fiéis aos nossos princípios e não saltamos de ideologia em ideologia ou de partido em partido, conforme interesses pessoais.
3.
Alias quando a “Jornalista” refere que a lista do Renascer mal tem políticos deveria ser mais exata, uma vez que vários integraram as listas do movimento já tendo integrado outras listas de várias correntes partidárias.
4.
Nunca em tempo algum foi impedida qualquer pessoa de emitir a sua opinião acerca de qualquer assunto relativo à gestão municipal. Senão veja-se a quantidade de funcionários que decidiram participar nas listas autárquicas deste ano em diferentes listas concorrentes.
5.
Nunca implementou este executivo qualquer tipo de coerção aos funcionários por estes emitirem a sua opinião em redes sociais ou noutros locais, acerca da ação do município ou do executivo municipal ainda que a ética profissional eventualmente obriga-se a alguma contenção
6.
Com base no ponto anterior, muito menos se aplicou este tipo de ação a qualquer Aljezurense
7.
Sabe alias a “jornalista” que numa altura de forte contestação e reclamações sobre consumos de água, onde muito foi dito e insinuado, esteve disponível esta câmara para esclarecimentos que lhe foram prestados.
Sobre o “episodio” de Odeceixe mais uma vez repudiamos o facto da “jornalista” ter feito na integra uma copia das declarações “odiosas” do recém-eleito presidente, sem se quer ter tentado apurar a verdade ou se quer ouvido as outras partes envolvidas. Assim vemo-nos obrigados a exigir direito de resposta por isto mesmo:
1.
O Presidente da Junta de Freguesia é o presidente da assembleia eleitoral pelo que deve acompanhar ao longo do dia o ato eleitoral.
2.
Cada partido ou concorrente, tem o direito de nomear delegados às mesas de voto que têm como função fiscalizar o ato eleitoral e todos os concorrentes nomearam esses delegados.
3.
Estiveram estes últimos, fortemente presentes nas assembleias de voto, alguns sentados “em cima das mesas de voto”, outros de porteiros na entrada das assembleias de voto e outros ainda a saírem das mesas de voto para ir buscar pessoas pela “mão” ate à mesa de voto.
4.
Por estes atos não julgamos nem condenamos ninguém, ao contrário do agora eleito presidente !
5.
Estas práticas são sobejamente conhecidas de todos e do Partido Socialista de Aljezur também, tanto quanto foram postas em prática quando Manuel Marreiros era “utilizador” e “beneficiário” dos meios do PS Aljezur, praticas essas que agora repudiamos e ignoramos.
6.
Por fim e de forma veemente convicta, afirmamos que os nossos candidatos (TODOS), são gente seria, honesta e empenhada, enraizados nos valores de ABRIL que valorizam a liberdade e o ato de expressão da vontade popular pelo voto e muito particularmente os nossos Candidatos à Junta de Freguesia de Odeceixe.
