Rotary supports special needs students

Rotary Estoi Palace International (RCEPI) held a fundraising dinner at the local Estoi Poeta Emiliano da Costa School on March 17. The cookery students prepared a three-course meal which they then served to 64 guests.

Around €1,300 was raised and will be used by the school to provide education and equipment to special needs pupils, enabling them to stay in mainstream schooling.

Musical entertainment was provided by Ricardo J. Martins, a musician specialising in classical Portuguese guitar. He lives in the Algarve but tours extensively abroad. He was accompanied on vocals by local talent Cristina Paulo, who has studied music at the Berkley College of Music in Boston.
