Marlene Guerreiro has continued the Socialist Party (PS) win streak in São Brás de Alportel, where the party has ruled for 28 consecutive years.
Securing a majority of the vote (46.37%, 2,759 votes), Guerreiro ensured another four years of Socialist rule in São Brás, despite a close race with the right-wing PSD-CDS coalition (43.34%, 2,579).
PS will have three municipal seats against the coalition’s two.
