Reports today describe a 30-year-old woman shot dead in the early hours of this morning in a Lisbon car park, near Avenida de Ceuta.
The alert was raised shortly after 5am after residents heard four shots ring out, and saw the victim ‘prostrate on the ground’.
CM claims the woman was ‘Edite’, a bus driver for Carris (the Lisbon transport company), who had come to the end of her night shift.
The paper suggests the shooter was a former boyfriend who “did not accept the ending of the relationship”.
For the time being, there have been no arrests – and the former boyfriend is being actively sought by police.
PJ police have sealed off the area of the shooting, and are undertaking forensic investigations.
