Portimão Council has praised the positive impact of its mobile health unit, which visits the three parishes of the municipality on a monthly basis.
According to the local authority, the unit helps provide health care to residents living in more isolated areas of the borough, particularly the elderly.
It offers screenings for diabetes and hypertension, manages therapeutic regimens, monitors individual vaccination plans, and provides tips to promote behavioural improvements for better health.
